Details
WELLINGBOROUGH BROAD GREEN SP8868SE (South side) 8/63 Nos.2 and 3 and barn attachd to left GV II
House, shop and attached barn. Probably mid C18, altered C19. Regular coursed ironstone with slate roof and rendered plinth. Originally each one unit plans. 3 storys. Together comprising a 2-window range of sashes under wood lintels. Ground floor window to No2 is a C19 shop window and first and second floor windows have glazing bars. Central pair of doors under single wood lintel: that to No.2 is 6-panelled. Brick stacks to end. Small C18 barn attached to left is rendered with a corrugated asbestos roof. Tall central plank door with loft door over. No.2 was used as a bakery. Second floor probably added early C19. Interior reputed to contain C19 bread oven and ceiling beams.
