Spa House
II
House. Early C18. Reddish-brown brick. Dentilled eaves. Pantile roof. End chimneys. 2 storeys with outshot at rear, 3 bays. Lower brick wing to left. To centre C19 panelled door in doorcase with brackets. 2 C19 canted bays to ground floor, with sash windows with glazing bars. Above, sashes with glazing bars in flush moulded cases. To the south gable end are 3 sashes of same type and a horizontal sliding sash with glazing bars. Mentioned in 1723 and described as thatched. V.C.H., Yorkshire, North Riding, 1923, p60.
