Details

SE20NW GUNTHWAITE AND INGBIRCHWORTH GUNTHWAITE LANE (west side), Gunthwaite 2/31 Gunthwaite Hall 25.2.52 (part to east ) GV II Farmhouse, now divided into two. Late C18-early C19. Coursed, squared rubble, stone slate roof. Two storeys, 4 bays. Millstone grit quoins. Two entrances in quoined surrounds between which is a small single light. Two single sashes to right, one larger sash to left. 1st floor: one 2-light flat-faced mullion window and 3 single lights (the right one blocked). Window and door surrounds have tooled finish. Gable copings on cut kneelers. Later brick end stacks. Rear: 3 bays; 4-pane sashes to ground floor, casements to 1st floor. A single- storey link block joins to east part (q,v.). Right return: a single light to left on each floor. Central stone plaque with lead cartouche.
