SE20NW GUNTHWAITE AND INGBIRCHWORTH PENISTONE ROAD (north side), Ingbirchworth 2/46 Cottage (now store) immediately north-east of No 24 II Cottage, now store. C17. Thinly-coursed dry rubble, stone slate roof. Two cells, presumably a fragment of a larger house. Two storeys. Single-bay gabled front: quoins to right. Five-light double-chamfered mullion window to ground floor; similar 4-light window to 1st floor, both with hoodmoulds. Central ridge stack with cornice. Right return: early wooden door frame to right with adjoining chamfered fire-window. Central, early wooden door frame to 1st floor. Interior: moulded fireplace with triangular lintel to front room. Stop-chamfered beams and joists to both rooms. Central, king-post truss with struts built into front of chimney breast. A post supports the truss at the right side.
