Details
SK69SE BAWTRY HIGH STREET (west side), Market Place 10/27 Nos 39 and 41 (Equity - House) GV II House, now staff annexe to Crown Hotel (q.v.) and separate office premises (known as Equity House). Late C18, altered. Red brick in Flemish bond, pantile and Welsh slate roof. 3 storeys, 5 bays. Rendered plinth. Blocked central doorway under rubbed-brick flat arch flanked by C20 shop fronts and doors. 1st floor: string course (partly obscured) beneath sashes with glazing bars in reveals having projecting stone sills and cambered rubbed- brick-arches. 2nd floor: 6-pane sashes in matching openings. Dentilled eaves to hipped roof with rendered end stack on left and brick end stack on right.
