12/60 Lych-gate to north-west corner of churchyard of Church of St. Wilfrid
GV II
Lych-gate. Late medieval. Ashlar limestone. In the form of a south porch (possibly resited). Moulded plinth. Double-chamfered arch towards church has half-octagonal responds with broach-stopped chamfers; cemented capitals. Ashlar gable copings with cross. Ashlar roof with ribs. Rear: arch similar but narrower.
Interior: side-wall niche with 3 human skulls and the inscription 'Today for me / Tomorrow for thee'. Chamfered, transverse arches to soffit.
