BENTLEY WITH ARKSEY SHAFTHOLME ROAD SE 50 NE (north side), Shaftholme
7/60 Shaftholme House Farmhouse II
Farmhouse. Mid C19. Rock-faced sandstone, Welsh slate roof. 2 storeys, 3 bays, with lower single-bay wing set back on right. Ashlar plinth (obscured by cement render to lower front wall). Added central porch enclosing original doorway with part-glazed double doors having facetted panels and trefoil-headed lights beneath triangular head. Outer bays have C20 casements in chamfered, 2-light mullioned surrounds with flattened-ogee heads. 1st floor: band beneath similar windows, the central window narrower. Deep eaves projection to hipped roof with 2 truncated stacks at centre. Wing on right is blind and has floor band and hipped roof. Rear: three 16-pane sashes to lst floor of main range. Wing on left has 6-panel door.
