Farmhouse. Mid C17 with later alterations and additions. Deeply coursed,
squared gritstone, stone slate roof. Rectangular plan with gabled entrance
front and rear wing rebuilt 1977. 3 storeys with attic, 4 bays. Double-
chamfered mullion windows. Plinth. C20 door in double-chamfered surround
between bays 3 and 4. Projecting lateral stack between bays 1 and 2.
2-light window to bay 1, 3-light windows to other ground floor bays
(window to bay 2 renewed). 1st floor: 2-light window to bay 2, 3-light
windows to bays 3 and 4. Dripmould. 2nd floor: as 1st floor with drip-
stones to bays 3 and 4. Gabled dormers to bays 3 and 4 each with blind
3-light attic window with dripstone and pigeon holes over. Water spouts
to right of each dormer. All gables with moulded kneelers and copings,
finials removed. Corniced ashlar end stack to right. Rear: later square-
faced mullions, 1st floor dripmould removed. Left return: 4-light double-
chamfered mullion and transom window to 1st floor. Dripmould. Similar
2nd floor window with hoodmould. Blind 2-light mullion window to attic,
dripmould over. Right return: one 2-light double-chamfered mullion window
under dripmould to each floor with drips tone to attic window. Interior:
ground floor room to right has a C17 plaster overmantle of lilies and
roses under frieze of fish, fruit and mermaids playing harps, with cornice.
