House, now shops and offices. Mid C18 with C19 alterations. Red brick with stone and gauged brick dressings, graduated slate roof. Three storeys and four bays. Ground floor has C19 shop front across full width, divided into two parts with main part across three right-hand bays and narrower part to left. C20 plate-glass windows set in C19 surround with three fluted Ionic half columns supporting simple entablature, dosserets over the columns topped by urn finials on panelled bases. To centre of the right-hand section of entablature is a large raised block with cornice topped by a gilded eagle on stepped base, to either side within the frieze are raking cornices which form a sort of shallow pediment. First and second floors have four plate-glass sashes, each with projecting stone sills and flat gauged brick arches. Moulded dentilled ashlar cornice. Stone copings on moulded kneelers t;o gables and tall brick end stacks.
