3/138 Shotley Cottage
GV II
House. Datestone JS/1829 by John Sculthorpe. Squared coursed limestone with
Welsh slate roof. L-shape plan. 2 storeys. 3-window range of unhorned sash
windows, with glazing bars, under gauged stone heads. Central, 6-anel, door
under similar head. Ashlar gable parapets and brick stacks at ends. Datestone
above door. Rear elevation has staircase projection in angle between wings. Some
C20 alterations to rear. Interior not inspected but noted as retaining early C19
fittings.
