Details
TQ 3426 LINDFIELD BLACK HILL (north east side) 6/153 Partridges 6.4.70 GV II House. C17 or earlier timberframed building altered in early C20 and with one bay extension added to left in matching style. Clad in weather bonding with tiled roof. 2 storeys, 3 windows. Gabled semi-dormers with plain bargeboards. 3 C20 wooden 3 light casements with jalousies to ground floor and circular window to right hand side. Off central C20 doorcase has engaged Corinthian type columns, frieze with shell moulding and foliate motifs and flat hood and brackets. The C19 addition to the right hand side, now a separate house called Dix's, is not of special interest.
