ISFIELD Isfield Place 1. 5208 TQ 41 NW 30/930 26.ll.53 II* 2. A large irregular-shaped house which incorporates part of the mansion of the Shurley family of the C16, but the main portion is early C17 and was built by Sir John Shurley. Two storeys and attic. Four window. Two dormers and a shaped gable. Red brick. Stone eaves cornice. Tiled roof. Two light casement windows with stone mullions and small square panes, ground floor ones with obtusely pointed heads. Chimney breast on east side. C19 wing to north-east.
