Pair of houses, now offices. Late c18 with later alterations. Red brick, rendered to No 8, with brick and stone dressings and slate roof. Three storeys with attics and 3 bays in total, central bay shared. Plinth. All openings set slightly forward leaving short areas of blind brickwork to either side. Central bay has almost full height semi-circular headed blind recess with rubbed brick arch, and stone imposts at lintel level of first floor windows. to ground floor are a pair of semi-circular headed doorcases with panelled jambs and reveals, 6 raised and fielded panelled doors below plain fanlights and entablatures on moulded consoles with dosserets over the consoles. To either side there are tripartite bow windows with plate glass sashes, projecting sills and moulded cornices on shallow brick plinths, that to No 8 (to right) forms lower part of two storey bow with similar window above. No 7 has original full height tripartite bow window to first floor with unequal hung 15 and 5 pane sashes below moulded cornice and with bracketed segmental ironwork balcony. Central bay has blind semi-circular headed recess with projecting sill. Above 2 tripartite plate glass sash windows with projecting sills, that to left recessed below segmental brick arch. Dentilled eaves to No 7, plain eaves band to No 8, both with blocking course over. Gabled attic dormer to No 7. Brick end stacks. Interior of No 8 has original dogleg close string staircase through 3 flights with unusual balusters with bulb bases and tops, plus central lozenge shaped knops.
