Small country house now offices. 1811 (dated rainwater heads). Ashlar magnesian limestone, Welsh slate roofs. 2-storey, 7x2-bay front range with main staircase in parallel wing to rear continued by lower 2-storey service quarters having cross-wing and attached outbuildings set around rear yard. Symmetrical front has rectangular steps to central tripartite doorway with panelled double doors and 4-pane overlight flanked by 8-pane sashes set between Doric half-columns and pilasters; plain frieze and cornice. Ground- floor sill band links sashes with glazing bars under flat arches 1st floor: band; central tripartite window with sill blocks, sunken-panelled mullions and light cornice; other bays have projecting sills to sashes as ground floor. Modillioned eaves cornice and blocking course to hipped roof having corniced ridge stacks each side of the central bay. Left return: 2 bays as front; set back on left are cellar steps beneath a Venetian stair window having fluted archivolt; 2 rainwater heads dated '1811'. Right return: as front but blind; wing set back on right has an 18-pane treble sash an left of an unequally-hung 15-pane sash; 2 sashes with glazing bars to 1st floor, blind attic windows. Service wing: round-headed stair window with fluted archivolt (on left return); cross-wing of service quarters has tripartite windows (on right return), Imperial fire insurance plaque (on rear, facing yard) and hipped roof. Interior: entrance hall has corniced doorcases, cast-iron firebasket in marble surround and ceiling cornice with anthemion motifs, Front-left room: fireplace with half columns, cornice as hall. Front-right room: wooden fireplace, cornice as hall, ceiling feature Dining room to rear: original buffet and shelving recesses with finely-ribbed wooden surrounds to round arches with lion's-head emblems; iron firebasket in marble surround. Stair hall: cantilevered stone staircase with Regency style iron balustrade and wooden handrail.
