1. 5018 FIELD END ROAD (West Side) EASTCOTE TQ 1088 10/l10 The Retreat II 2. Late C16 5-bay timber-framed barn with the 2 west bays converted into a dwelling. Old tiled roof. South face shows framing with filling partly of brick and partly of plaster. Stout timbers with big arch braces to plates and ties, queen post roof trusses. Centre south bay (foremr entrance) now weatherboarded except for 2 west bays forming cottage. Open bay is barn entrance. Lean-to projections to east bays. Small leaded casement windows to cottage part.
