LONDON BOROUGH OF MERTON HIGH ST, Wimbeldon, SW19 TQ 2371 (south side) 5/55 Nos 32, 33, 33A and 34 GV II
Row of houses with shops to ground floor. Mid to late C18. Brown brick, tiled gabled mansard roof to parapet. 2 storeys plus dormers. 1 bay to No 34 and 2 bays to each of Nos 32 and the former No 33 (now 33 and 33A). Good mid and later C19 shop fronts to all, that to No 34 especially elaborate with arched windows and spiral Ionic cast iron columns; plate glass. Upper floor with segmental headed recessed sashes to No 33, glazing bars; canted timber bay windows, sashed to other houses. Brick dentil cornice; coped parapet. Square headed casemented dormers. No 32 with return to left, partly weatherboarded. Rear elevations weatherboarded.
