Pair of cottages. Mid C18, extended C19. Brick in Flemish bond with some flared
headers, timber framing with brick infill; plain-tile roof with brick stacks.
2-unit plans, extended to rear. One storey plus attic. 2-window cottage fronts,
with rendered plinth and brick dentil eaves course, have central doorways
between 2-light plank-shuttered casements, all with segmental-arches. Doorway of
No.15 (to left) has been built up. Cottages have 2 gabled dormers each and share
a central stack. Gables are timber-framed. No,16 has been extended to rear in
similar style and also has a single-storey range beyond the rear wing. Interiors
not inspected. Part of the estate village built c.1760 for the 1st Earl
Harcourt.
