SK 65 NE EDINGLEY KIRKLINGTON ROAD (north side)

3/24 Osmanthorpe Manor (formerly listed under 21.11.74 Kirklington Civil Parish) II

House. Early C18 with late C19 alterations and extensions. Red brick. Hipped plain tile roof. Single red brick ridge stack and single red brick stack to rear ridge. Set on a plinth. L-plan. 2 storeys plus attic, 5 bays. Central red brick & plain tile gabled C19 porch, with ashlar coping to gable. Chamfered brick doorway with segmental arch over and C19 door. The sidewalls each have single small glazing bar sashes. Either side are single C19 red brick and plain tile canted bays with polygonal roofs. Each with single sash flanked by single narrow sashes. Above are 4 two- light casements and single central 2-light Yorkshire sash, all with flush wedge brick lintels. The attic has 2 half hipped dormers of red brick with plain tile roofs, each with single Yorkshire sash. Rear has late C19 wing.
