Detached house. Late C16 and C17. Square-panelled timber-framing on rubble stone plinth with thatched roof to C16 range, C17 part is rubble stone with stone slate roof and stone stacks. Two-bay timber-framed range with C17 addition to south. Two-storey, 4- window. Door with 2 vertical panels and hipped slated porch to left of C17 range, 3-light ovolo-mullioned casement to right, first floor has 2-light casement and 2-light ovolo-mullioned casement. Attic has full gable with 2-light mullioned casement, former stack removed. C16 range has 3-light and two 2-light ovolo-mullioned casements to ground floor and three 2-light first floor casements. Right return has blocked doorway and window, 2-light mullioned casements to ground floor and three 2-light first floor casements. Right return has blocked doorway and window, 2-light mullioned casement to attic. Rear of C17 range to left has single-light casement and 3-light mullioned casement to left of half-glazed door, cylindrical stair turret with C20 mullioned casement to ground floor and 2-light attic window, first floor has 3-light mullioned casement and 3-light casement, attic gable with 2-light mullioned casement. C16 range to right has 2-light and 4-light ground floor casements and first floor 2-light casement and gabled dormer with 3-light casement, timber-frame rebuilt in rubble stone to rear. Left return has lean-to stone addition, external stone and brick stack to gable end of timber-framed range. Interior: C17 range has deep chamfered beams, partly blocked open fireplace on front wall with stone lintel on stone jambs. Room to right of entrance has open fireplace with chamfered wooden lintel on stone jambs. Stair turret no longer retains stair from ground to first floor, winding stairs remain from first to attic floor. C16 range with former external gable end wall exposed between this range and C17 build, wattle and daub panels. Ground floor room with C18 corner cupboard with semi-circular head, fluted pilasters and shaped shelves. Two-bay C16 roof with one arch-braced collar truss and some curved wind bracing, 4-bay C17 roof with collar and tie-beam trusses and one tier of purlins.
