BURBAGE HIGH STREET SU 26 SW (east side) 2/23 No 61 5.11.85 II
Cottage. C17. Timber framed with wattle and daub infill, on C20 brick sill. Thatched roof. Single storey and attic, 3 bays. Lobby entry plan with shack and lobby in right bay. Framing 3 panels high with wavy corner braces. Six-panelled door below reconstructed thatched canopy. Paned timber windows with flush dormer to centre bay and to right gable. Rear block added to right bay, rendered. Interior has chalkstone stack with chamfered timber lintel facing centre bay, and a second stack on rear wall of right bay, probably original parlour. Chamfered ceiling beams. Undergoing renovation January 1987.
