II

House, now 2 cottages. Late C17. Timber framed and chalkstone, pebbledashed and rendered. Thatched roof. Single storey and attic. Original building of 2 bays, lobby entry plan, with third bay to left, probably contemporary but at higher level, and narrow bay added to right end, now part of No 65. Central entrance, a boarded door in porch thatched as extension of roof. Right bay has some exposed framing with corner brace, the added bay rendered and forming gable to street. Quoining at left end. Central bay has deeply inset timber windows, metal window to left bay, and 3 flush dormers. Brick stack. Roof half-hipped to ends. Interior has timber fire lintel to main parlour, and chamfered spine beam both with ogee chamfered stops. Timber framed partition to right bay. Stair at rear of parlour replacing original stair at rear of stack.
