TL 87 NE BARNHAM EUSTON ROAD (SOUTH SIDE)

4/12 East Farmhouse - - II

Farmhouse. Early C19. 2 storeys: irregular form. In knapped black flint, some of it squared, with rusticated white brick dressings. Fully hipped roof, partly 2-span, with C20 concrete pantiles. 3 window range to main front: small;-paned sashes in shallow reveals, with early C20 external slatted shutters to upper storey and slightly arched heads to brick surrounds. On the ground storey, 2 early C20 single-storey canted bays, each with 3 small-paned sash windows: white brick, with panels of knapped flint below the windows, and tented slate roofs. Central, recessed half-glazed double doors: fluted architrave with panelled sides: Tuscan portico with projecting roof. The east wall is in random flint with red brick string course and dressings, and a lower service wing in the same materials extends eastwards.
