GV II

House. c1835. Brick with ashlar dressings; tile roof with coped gables and brick end stacks. Jacobean style. 2 storeys; symmetrical 3-window range. Offset plinth, continuous 1st floor label mould and top stone-coped brick parapet with central coped gable. Tudor-headed entrance has chamfered reveals and label mould, half-glazed door. Double-chamfered-mullioned windows have label moulds, of 3 lights to ground floor, of 2 lights to 1st floor. Stacks have diagonal shafts. Gable has ashlar shield with arms of Diocese. Left return has projecting stack with flanking 1st floor lights under continuation of label mould from front; stone-coped area wall has Tudor-headed entrance with plank door. Rear has plain stone eaves and attached garage under hipped roof; plain rear stack. (Drury P: The Capitular Estate of Dean and Chapter of Lichfield Cathedral: 1987-).
