II
Toll house. Early C19. Rough Ham Hill stone with slate roof, stepped stone copings and brick stacks to gable ends of main house. Limestone rubble returns. T-shape plan, including late C20 rear extension. 2 storeys; 2-window range. Right-of-centre C20 door and hood, which is slate on metal scroll brackets. 2-storey smooth ashlar canted bay to the right. All windows have hollow-moulded stone mullions, late C19 paired 1/1-pane sashes to the left, and one 1/1-pane sash to both windows to front of bay. INTERIOR: that of the old toll house to the front retains some of its C19 character.
