GV II

House, now shop. Late C18/early C19. Painted Flemish-bond brick, Ham Hill stone cornice, parapet and stepped stone copings to gable ends with brick stack to the left. Pantile roof to rear. Double-depth plan. 2 storeys; 2-window range. First floor has 8/8-pane sashes under flat gauged arches. Ground floor has late C19 shop window with 3 panes to the right and canted bay of single-pane sashes to the left, both coming forward to street level. Door, with overlight, set back to right-of-centre, has 2 vertical glazed panels forming a Tudor-style arch to the top and single panel below. To far left and right, and flanking the door, panelled pilasters with consoles, support a plain projecting fascia. To the far left, contained within the facade of No.26 (qv) to the east, is a wide 4-panel door with painted-over overlight giving onto a passage with a door to an upper flat. The left return is rubblestone to an earlier roof pitch, raised with brick to the present angle. INTERIOR not inspected.
