Terraced houses. A plaque between nos 32 and 34 states that the houses were built in 1824 by Jeffrey Morgan. Yellow brick set in Flemish bond, roof of Welsh and asbestos slate where visible. Two storeys over basement, some houses with an additional storey or dormers in the roof; two windows each. Heads of gauged brick to all openings. The common design is: steps up to round-arched entrance with fanlight; ground-floor window round-arched, first-floor windows flat-arched; parapet; stack to party wall. The whole terrace much rebuilt; doors of original design appear to have been introduced in many houses. Features of individual houses are: no 2 has three windows and a flat-arched carriage or works entrance to right and two round-arched windows to left of it; no 6 has cornice and panelled door of original design, sashes of original design and a dormer in mansard roof; no 8 has decorative glazing to fanlight and sashes of original design; nos 10-12 have sashes of original design to ground floor,and no 12 has decorative glazing to fanlight, possibly inserted, and additional storey set back behind the parapet; no 14 has decorative glazing to fanlight; no 16 has additional storey set back behind the parapet; no 18 has sashes of original design and flat-arched dormers in mansard roof; no 20 has additional storey set back behind parapet; no 22 has decorative glazing to the fanlight, sashes of original design to the first floor and an additional storey set back behind the parapet; no 24 has fluted quarter-columns to doorcase, decorative cornice, decorative glazing to the fanlight, and additional storey set back behind the parapet; no 26 has fluted quarter-columns to doorcase and sashes of original design to first floor; no 28 has fluted quarter-columns to doorcase and dormer in mansard roof; no 30 has an additional storey set back behind the parapet; nos 32-4 have dormers in mansard roof; no 36 has an additional storey set back behind the parapet; no 38 has decorative glazing to fanlight and sashes of original design to ground floor; no 42 has sashes of original design and an additional storey set back behind the parapet; nos 46-8 have sashes of original design to ground floor; no 50 has dormers in mansard roof; no 54 has an additional storey set back behind the parapet; no 56 has sashes of original design to first floor and additional storey set back behind the parapet; no 58 has sashes of original design with intersecting glazing bars to ground floor and dormers in mansard roof; no 60 has first-floor windows lowered; nos 64-8 have ground floor stuccoed and scored as ashlar with a storey band,and first-floor windows lowered; nos 64-6 have sashes of original design to ground floor with intersecting tracery, and no 66 has sashes of original design to first floor and an additional storey set back behind the parapet; no 68 has an additional storey set back behind the parapet. Cast-iron railings to steps and area, generally with spear-and-tassel finials; the following replacements have been made: finials and railings to no 16, finials to nos 34-6, finials and railings to no 42 and possibly also to nos 48 and 60, finials to nos 64-8; despite these alterations, and considering the length of the terrace, this is an unusually long range of cast-iron railings of consistent design.
