Terraced houses. Dated 1766 on a plaque between nos 39 and 41, inscribed 'Cumberland Row built 1766'. Purplish and yellow brick set in Flemish bond with red brick dressings, roof obscured by parapet. Three storeys, two windows each. Ground floor of no 39 has a C20 shop front and entrance possibly incorporating earlier elements; no 41 has a C19 shop front with pilasters flanking a flat-arched entrance with overlight, fascia and cornice; no 43 has a late C20 shop front and the rest has been completely rebuilt: first-floor windows flat-arched with heads of red gauged brick; second-floor windows cambered; parapet.
