Railings. 1820s for the New River Company. Cast- and wrought-iron. Straight-shaft railings with urn finials, every eleventh shaft coupled with another shaft which is set back. Railings to Canonbury Grove with mid-rail set on a cast-iron plinth breached by C20 gates; railings along Canonbury Road set on brick with stone coping and brick piers. These railings are associated with the re-alignment of the New River and the rebuilding of Canonbury Road Bridge in 1823.
