Terraced houses. Mid-C19. Brown brick, stucco, roof obscured by parapet. Four storeys above basement, two windows each, but original entrance of no 10 altered to a window. Basement and ground floor stuccoed, the ground floor decorated with banded rustication. Steps up to flat-arched entrance with small cornice on paired consoles, overlight; ground floor windows flat-arched with moulded architraves. All upper windows flat-arched with moulded architraves, first floor having cornices on consoles and iron balconies, second floor floating cornices; sashes with margin lights to first and second floors. Sill band to third floor. Parapet. Stacks on party walls. Area railings with leaf-and-bud finials. The interior of no 8 has virtually all its original features: cast-iron range in basement; staircase to all floors with wreathed handrail and stick balusters, some missing; the front and back rooms on the ground and first floors each have cornice mouldings and ceiling rose, marble mantelpiece and cast-iron fireplace; on the second floor there are cornice mouldings in the front room and simpler mantelpieces and cast iron fireplaces in both rooms; the third floor has small cast-iron fireplaces; panelled doors and architraves throughout.
