Row of 11 terraced houses in square; nos. 12 and 13 with canted facades to inner corners. c.1825-1828. Yellow and brown stock bricks laid in Flemish bond with simple stucco dressings and banded stucco ground-floor; roofs obscured by parapet (no. 8 with Welsh-slate mansard roof), brick party-wall stacks. Three storeys (no. 8 with attic); 2 windows each (nos. 12 & 13 with 1-window wide). Side-hall entrance plan with staircase; nos. 7 and 17 with entrance to side street facade. Otherwise, low steps rise to entrance in left bay: doorway with 1/4 fluted column jambs carrying corniced-head, panelled door and patterned fanlight to nos. 8, 10, 12-16. Ground-floor round arches to sashes: 1/1 (nos. 7, 9, 11, 14, 17), 1/2 (no. 16) and 8/8 with curved glazing bars in Gothic style (nos. 8, 10, 12-16). Upper floors with gauged brick flat arches to 2/2 (nos. 7, 9, 11, 14, 16, 17), 6/6 (no. 10; 8 & 15 2nd floors), 8/8 (nos. 12 & 13) and 9/9 (nos. 8 & 15 lst floors) sashes. 1st floor with stucco sill band to full-length sashes set in arched recesses linked by stucco impost bands; individual (to nos. 12 & 13) and coupled balconies supported by iron brackets and with wrought-iron railings. Plain brick parapet with significant patching-in and rebuilding; stone coping. Attached iron area railings.
