Terraced houses. 1803-9. Developed by Henry or Jacob Leroux. Brick, stucco and roofs of slate. Three storeys over basement, three windows each with entrance bays to either side. Round-arched entrance to no 17 with reeded doorcase and panelled door of original design; two upper storeys of two-window range in the entrance wing which, by comparison with no 20, seem to have been added; entrance to no 18 round-arched, in two-storey single-bay wing. Ground-floor windows round-arched and set back under a round-arch with gauged brick head, linked by stucco springing band; stucco sill band to first floor. First- and second-floor windows flat-arched; cornice; round-arched dormers in mansard roof to no 17, stacks to party walls. Area railings with spearhead and urn finials.
