Terrace of six semi-detached linked villas. In street/passageway linking Wharton Street/Lloyd Square with Great Percy Street. c.1830 by John Booth, and his son, also John, Surveyors for the Lloyd Baker Estate. Multi-coloured stock bricks set in Flemish bond with stucco dressings, and stucco pediment over each pair (no. 2 altered); Welsh (nos. 4-5) and artificial slate gabled roofs, others obscured by parapet; brick centre stacks. Fine design in restrained Greek Revival style. Side-hall entrance plan to outer linked bay of each house. Two-storeys with basement; 2 windows each including recessed 1-window entrance bay coupled as links. Low steps rise to deeply recessed stucco entrance with antae supporting entablature except no. 6 (plain stucco square opening). Architraved panelled door (nos. 1, 4-6 original), some with fluted pilaster jambs (3, 4), reeded surround (5), rectangular overlights (1, 2, 4, 5) and various alterations with architraved sashes throughout: ground-floor with 2/2 (6), 6/6 (2, 3), 6/6 with cast-iron window guards (1) and 8/8 sashes (4, 5). 1st floor predominantly 2/2 sashes. 1st floor recessed balconied links with various narrower doors or sashes. Plain stucco band beneath pediments; stucco parapet with stucco coping or blocking course to 1st floor recessed link. Nos. 1-2 with extensive alterations. Attached cast-iron railings with urn finials; additional Neoclassical railing, scrolled braces and iron overthrow to trade entrance to nos. 5 & 6. Garden gate to right of no. 1 with attached iron spikes over passageway entrance.
