23 terraced houses. 1850. Stucco over brick to centrepiece and multi-coloured stock brick with stucco dressings to others; roofs obscured by parapet, party-wall stacks. Sidehall entrance plan. Restrained Neoclassical style. Central 5 buildings (nos. 35-43) form projecting centrepiece of terrace: accentuated by giant pilasters rising from 1st floor level and surmounted by a single pediment; 4 storeys with basement, 2 windows each. 6 houses flanking either side (nos. 23-33 & 45-55) form intermediate recessed ranges and the projecting endpieces (nos. 17-21 & 57-61) are each composed of 3 houses; all of 3 storeys with basement, 2 windows each. Steps rise to entrance in left bay: doorway with stucco surround, some imitating keystones, plain rectangular overlight, corniced-head with carved egg and dart pattern, and panelled door. Ground-floor sashes with margin lights, cast-iron window guards in palmette and anthemion pattern, and bracketed sills. Architraved sashes to upper floors, diminishing in height as they rise. 1st floor full-length sashes with balconies and cast-iron railings: centrepiece with curved pedimented sashes, intermediate ranges with cornices and triangular pediments to endpieces, all with brackets. Plain stucco frieze and moulded cornice. Centrepiece inscribed 'Arundel Terrace' to scrolled rectangular-panel at parapet level. Attached iron railings. (Local List).
