Terrace of 13 houses. In street leading into Myddelton Square from the west. c.1828. By William Chadwell Mylne, Surveyor to the New River Estate. Yellow stock brick set in Flemish bond with banded stucco ground floor and stucco dressings; roofs obscured, brick party-wall stacks. Side-hall entrance plan. Three storeys except no. 12 (4 storeys); 2 windows each except no. 25 (1-window range). Symmetrical terrace: nos. 7-8 to centre includes carriageway and breaks forward slightly. Steps rise to round-arched architraved entrance to left: doorway (no. 25 narrower with plain jambs) with attached fluted Doric columns, fluted pilaster jambs and 1/4 fluted columns carrying corniced-head, fanlight (nos. 1-3, 8-9, 11-12 patterned), and original panelled door to nos. 2-9 & 11. Predominantly 6/6 sashes throughout; some ground-floor sashes with curved and radial glazing bars and margin lights. Gauged-brick flat arches to upper floors except no. 25 (architraved). 1st floor stucco sill band beneath full length sashes set in arched recesses and linked by stucco impost bands except no. 25 (short sashes and without arched recesses); individual cast-iron balconies with Vitruvian scroll and anthemion pattern to railings. Plain brick parapet with stone coping. Attached iron railings with urn finials.
