GV II

Terraced houses. Early C19. Yellow brick set in Flemish bond, some stucco, roofs obscured by parapet. Three storeys, two windows each. Basement and ground floor of no 347 stuccoed, the ground floor rusticated and all openings with moulded stucco architraves; no 365 has a projecting, single-storey shop front possibly of C19 date. Otherwise, round-arched entrances with gauged brick heads and fluted quarter columns to nos 347-351, plain pilaster jambs to nos 353-363; fanlight; panelled doors of original design to nos 347-351, those to nos 353-363 having two narrow panels; the entrance of no 355 has in addition pilasters and cornice on consoles, all in stucco. Ground-floor windows to nos 347-351 round-arched, 353-363 flat-arched, that to no 355 having an architrave and cornice on consoles. Storey band to nos 351-363. Upper windows flat-arched with gauged brick heads, those to first floor with cast-iron balconies and set in a recessed round-arched panel with gauged brick head; stucco band below parapet to nos 353-355; parapet. Cast-iron railings to area.
