Range of 8 terraced houses stepped in 4 pairs rising from N to S. 1810 (date plaque). Red brick with some burnt headers and scored pointing, peg-tiled roofs. Plan rectangular. 2 storeys. Front W elevation: houses all similar, 2 window range with central front door, alternately approached by steps, doorways have cornice hoods and plain door cases, simple frieze and jambs, doors, where original, Nos 35 & 37, have 4 recessed panels. Windows of paired casements in chamfered wooden frames with central stiles, cast-iron metal casements with glazing bars, each casement 2x5 panes. Stacks central to each house pair. Rear E elevation: integral brick lean-tos with catslide roofs. Doors and windows now C20. Most houses now have 2 storey additions, lean-tos with pitched or flat roofs, some may have later C19 origin. None project beyond original rear building line.
