Public house and shop with accommodation. C18, refronted mid C19. Render replacing stucco on studwork; asbestos slate roof on left dry slate on right. Deep plan including rear wings at right-angles. 3 storeys; 3-window range. Original 12-pane hornless sashes within moulded architraves except for slightly later C19 small-paned canted oriel with moulded entablature to 1st-floor left, No.6 (right) has late C19 shop windows with quadrant end lights: original lights divided by slender mullions with arched caps; 2nd from left bay has door with overlight; granite stall-riser and original moulded entablature with fascia; C20 bowed fascia to No.4; ope (passage) doorway right of centre with overlight with margin panes. Far rear wing of No.6 has many C18 features including 3 casement windows with thick glazing bars; steep roof including linking roof of wing bridging ope with one C17 crested clay ridge tile. Wing in front is studwork with asbestos slatehanging, 3 storeys with 3 early C19 horizontal-sliding sashes, with glazing bars and larger mid C19 twelve-pane hornless sash. INTERIOR: not inspected but likely to be of interest.
