GV II

Entrance lodge to Lytham Hall Park, now private dwelling. Early to mid C19; altered. Pebble walls with red brick quoining and dressings, and patterned slate roof with projected eaves and verges and central chimney stack. Cruciform plan formed by main range parallel to road (and at right-angles to drive) with short side wings. Single storey with low attics in wings. The gabled end to the drive has a small canted bay with a former doorway in the centre altered as a window, flanked by one-light windows. The side walls of this end each have one window with brick quoining, raised sill and chamfered lintel; the gables of the side wings have similar windows, and small attic windows immediately above; and the rear range has 2 similar windows (and a C20 extension at the west end of the north side). Square chimney at crossing of ridges, of 2 short stages with pebble panels in the lower, small sunk panels in the upper, and a cavetto-moulded cap. INTERIOR not inspected.
