Pair of small town houses. c.1850-60, altered. Red brick in
Flemish bond, with some sandstone dressings, composition tile
and slate roofs. Single-fronted halls-adjoining pair with
coupled back extension. Two storeys, 2+2 windows, with remains
of swept-roof verandah, and brick corbel table to plain frieze
on 3 pairs of consoles. The 2 swept lead-clad verandah canopy
with restored fretted fringe, the right-hand half carried on a
geometrical trellised porch to No.3; and each side of this is
a large wooden rectangular bay window with similar roof, that
to No.3 with a fretted fringe matching that of the verandah.
The 1st floor has small segmental-headed windows with plain
surrounds and altered glazing. Gable-end chimneys (that to the
right adjoining No. 9 Bath Street). Forms group with
Nos 2 to 10 opposite (q.v.), the former Methodist chapel to
the left (q.v.), and No.9 Bath Street to the right (q.v.).
