House, now in use as library. Early C19. Buff brick with stone dressings and Welsh slate roof. 2-storeyed, 2 bays to entrance front, 3 to garden. Entrance front has large gabled porch with fretted barge-boards and round arched opening and grouped pilasters. To right, large circular bay forms one section of garden front: recessed central section with paired windows with wrought-iron balcony to first floor, carried on long raking struts. Left-hand section is the circular bay, with 3 windows on each floor, the central window on first floor having a fretted stone balconette. Dentilled band between the storeys and as cornice below overhanging eaves. Conical slate roof with ball finial. Right-hand bay a projecting gable, with 3 full-height windows to ground floor, and stone fretted balconette to upper windows, recessed in double embrasures with round arched heads. Ornate barge boards to eaves. All windows renewed in original openings with gauged brick heads. Cylindrical gable and axial stacks. Tiled entrance hall with cantilevered staircase.
