2 shops and one house in range. Late C16 with alterations. Timber-framed under brick skin, colourwashed to No.3 and No.3A. Pantile roof. 2 storeys. Two C20 shop fronts to left (south end, No.3 and No.3A). 2 doorways in remainder are C19: No.5 with panelled door, both with cases comprising fluted pilasters and flat hood. Between doors is a 3-light mid C19 casement lighting No.5. Four similar 3-light casements to first floor of whole range, evenly spaced. Gabled roof with 3 rebuilt ridge stacks. East gable and rear wing C20. INTERIOR. Original building one room deep, the rear studs visible in rear wall of No.3. Wall plate with roll and hollow mouldings continues into No.3A. Chamfered bridging beam with barred tongue stops. Timber frame survives to first floor of No.3A. Jowled principal studs to rear, close studded, arched wall braces. Chamfered tie beams with tongue stops. Continuous clasped purlin roof with lower butt purlins, cambered collars and undiminished principals, the principals cut back and moulded to accommodate claped purlin.
