II
Farmhouse. Late C17 or earlier C18, remodelled in later C18 and subsequently altered. Pebble-dashed render on brick, with sandstone dressings and composition tile roof. Square plan formed by 2-unit baffle-entry range with projecting central porch and additions to rear. Two storeys and attics, 1:1:1 windows, symmetrical, with a 2-storey gabled porch which has a square-headed outer doorway with a wedge lintel, and a 2-light window above with raised sill and rectangular lintel; and 2 oblong windows on each floor, all with raised sills, rectangular lintels and altered glazing. Ridge chimney in centre, gable chimney to left. Gable walls and rear have altered windows. INTERIOR: the 2nd bay has a large inglenook with cambered bressummer and timber heck, both these ovolo moulded with cyma stops; both rooms have lateral beams with similar moulding; and the 1st floor has crudely-chamfered lateral beams.
