House. c1730, enlarged late C18, probably in 1789. Brick with plaintile roofs. Main block of 5 by 2 bays in 2 storeys and dormer attic. Centre 3 bays of east facade broken forward under pediment. Central panelled door with pedimented hood and plain overlight. Fenestration of sashes with glazing bars, all replaced late C19, and all under gauged skewback arches. Hipped roof with 2 gabled dormers fitted with casements. Pair of symmetrically-placed ridge stacks. Returns have 2 window bays. Late C18 wing set back to west, constructed on C17 plinth marking older wing. 2 storeys and dormer attic. Tripartite and single sashes to east face. South gable is stepped with an arched Gothic window in gable head. Rear re-uses early C18 sashes, with glazing bars. Large ridge stack set to south of centre. INTERIOR. Main door opens into hall enriched with an egg and dart cornice and a C20 stone chimneypiece. Room to south with C20 fireplace and acanthus cornice. Room to north with plank panelling. Staircase set to north-west lit by an inserted oriel: 3 turned and column balusters per tread, moulded ramped and wreathed handrail and dado panelling. First floor room to north-east re-uses mid C17 small-frame panelling. Main room with pediment over panelled door. Roofs of staggered butt purlin type.
