GV II

2 houses of early C18, altered c1760, unified 1879 when rear extension built, separated again C20. Brick, whitewashed to facade. Plaintile roof to front slope, pantile rear. 2 storeys and dormer attic in 5 irregular bays. Central panelled door in doorcase with fluted Doric columns. Guttae panels under door hood. 2 late C18 sashes left and right with glazing bars set within flush frames. Sash window over door. 2 early C18 cross casements to left at first floor with metal opening lights. 2 similar but late C18 casements to right. Gabled roof with 3 gabled dormers of 1879. Ridge stack also 1879. North gable-end stack rebuilt. North gable head with tumbling. Rear formerly with continuous 2-storey outshut, the south part raised and rebuilt 1879 in 4 bays. Illuminated through cross casements. Serrated stack matching front ridge stack. INTERIOR. Little remains to No.20 (No.18 not inspected internally). Roof of staggered butt purlins and collars. North dormer in position of a predecessor.
