Country house. Late C18 with a large neo-Elizabethan front (south-east) added by Buckler 1856. Brick with pantiled roof to older rear, slate to front. Main front of 2 storeys and attic in 3 big bays, the outer bays being canted outwards. Central doorway. Fenestration of cross casements with 4-centered lights. Crenellated parapet. 2 stepped gabled each with an attic casement. Clustered stacks romantically placed. Lower rear wing of H-plan. Doorway faces stable court, under a 4-light overlight. 3 late C18 cross casements. Gabled roof and cross wings. South front remodelled early C19 in 3 bays. 3 tripartite French windows to ground floor, 2 tripartite sashes to first floor. Gabled roof carrying 2 flat dormers with C20 details. INTERIOR. Entrance hall with turned baluster staircase, moulded ramped and wreathed handrail. Linenfold panelling to principal room doors. Front left room with linenfold window screens with pierced and carved spandrels. 4-centred stone chimneypiece. Right-hand room with larger chimneypiece carved with rosettes and fleurons in frieze.
