House, now part of C20 chain-store. Early C17. Timber-frame and plaster; plain tile roof. 2 storeys (over C20 shop front); mullion and transom oriel with moulded sillband on enriched consoles, and lattice-glazed leaded lights; moulded bressumer on enriched consoles and battens to gable, with ornamental glazing, leaded light and enriched barge-boards. Former ground floor has C18 door and flanking sashes, under moulded bressumer on enriched consoles and battens; balustrade with barley-sugar-twist balusters. INTERIOR: attic: exposed frame and wattle-and-daub. 1st floor: ogee-stop moulded ceiling beams. Ground floor (now over ground floor of store): box framing; ogee-stop chamfered ceiling beams; chamfered posts.
