Shop and dwelling, now shop. Mid C19. Painted brick; slate
roof; brick end stacks. 3 storeys; 3-window range: late C19
plain sashes with cambered heads, and moulded brick
architraves, under brick arches with stone springers and
keyblocks; similar sashes over, with ornamented sills; moulded
brick cornice, and stops with grotesques: early C20 shop front
with central recessed entrance under moulded ceiling panel:
double doors and overlight; windows with clerestory lights, in
enriched cases; panelled soffits to moulded fascia-board and
hood. Included for group value. INTERIOR: C20 staircase. 2nd
floor: C19, 4-panel door and fireplace; C17(?) truss; rafters
morticed to purlins; roof raised late C19. 1st floor:
architraves to windows; exposed ceiling beams; C18 English
bond brickwork, exposed in rear wall. Cellar: part-glazed
door; brick vaults; brick and flagstone floor; some masonry.
