turnerized(?) plain tile roof; brick end stacks to left and
axial stack to rear. 5 unit plan. 3 storeys; 5-window range:
6/6 sashes in moulded cases under segmental arches; 3/3 sashes
in moulded cases under timber lintels; brick modillion eaves.
C20 shop fronts, with, to left, C19 door in moulded case.
INTERIOR: No.3: winder staircase to 2nd floor. 2nd floor:
exposed timber-framing; cast-iron firegrate; panelling door.
1st floor: chamfered ceiling beams on jowled posts; late C19
fireplace; plank door; 2-panel door. Ground floor: beaded
plank door and frame; wall plate and ceiling joists exposed in
passage. No.5: winder stair with stick balusters. 2nd floor: 2
plank doors. 1st floor: chamfered ceiling beams. No.7: C19
winder staircase with stick balusters to 1st floor, steep C19
stairs to 2nd floor. 2nd floor: probable timber-frame; plank
door. 1st floor (front): ogee-stop and stop chamfered ceiling
beams; traces of mutilated framing; large masonry visible in
chimney. Ground floor: plank door to rear. Cellar: largely
stone-lined; adzed main beam; 4-panel door.
