Monument. 1838. Ashlar. Obelisk on square plinth with slate tablets to sides. Commemorates 6 female servants who died in a fire at the Castle Hotel: Mary Ann Smith, Mary Ann Booth, Mary Garner, Mary Chatterton, Harriet Bonner and Harriet Bushnell. Erected by the inhabitants of Tamworth.
