29/07/76 Archway at entrance to Bowden's Old
Lace Factory
GV II
Archway. Dated 1901. Flemish bond brick with Bath stone
dressings and slate roof. Centre of long range stuccoed up to
quoins of archway; large round arch to centre flanked by
narrower and lower ones. Rear has one large segmental arch;
rusticated quoins, and pillars between arches which have
stepped voussoirs and bevelled keystones. Pedimented over all
with deeply-moulded cornice and coping. Datestone with
inscription B & Co AD 1901.
